Hooked since the age of seven, when a turntable and a Beach Boys 7" landed in his bedroom. Decades on he's a promoter who's brought over Kenny Dope, Nightmares On Wax and Crazy P, a Best Alternative Music Award winner, and a selector with no fixed lane — jazz, techno, hip hop, jungle, house — who's shared line-ups with Gilles Peterson, Roni Size, The Scratch Perverts and Todd Terje. He's a collage artist too, with sleeve work for Tru Thoughts, Exit Records, Mark de Clive-Lowe and Rebecca Vasmant.

The last Saturday of the month belongs to Freakout Collective — the Manchester crew of Gregg, Hughesy and Clarky, fusing funk, disco, soul, house and jazz. This month they're joined by Psychederek: Lewis Olsen out of Stretford, whose cosmic, Balearic-leaning records for Sprechen run from Space Arcade through to this year's A Little Emotion.
